Your Community Magazine

After many months of planning and research, writing and re-writing the premiere issue of Washington Crossroads Magazine has become a reality. With thousands of newspapers, newsletters and magazines already in circulation across the country, you might wonder why we felt the need to add our own.

Our story is simple. About two years ago, in our own community, we recognized the value of having a single source of information to list happenings around town, things like times for the school play, garbage collection schedules or dates for the concert in the park. This would mean no more sorting through endless correspondence from schools and townships. At the same time, we wanted to know more about the community in which we lived, and about the individuals who make up the town we call home.

Shortly after setting our minds to creating our own community publication, we debuted South Fayette & Neighbors Magazine, with rave reviews from community officials and residents. Not long after, we added Peters Township Magazine. We’ve been pleased to see that both magazines have been embraced by the communities they serve.

Where to turn to next?

Washington County was the obvious choice. In a short time, this area, once viewed as a region in an economic downslide, has turned into a center of growth, and a destination for businesses and homebuyers from Western Pennsylvania and beyond. Much credit goes to the county commissioners, municipal and school district officials and others who have had the foresight to, and continue to, tap into this area’s potential. We’re pleased to have the opportunity to play a role in showcasing the people who make the Washington area what it is and reporting on the changes that bring a renewed vitality to these communities. Even if you have lived here for years, we are confident that you will learn something new in each issue.

As a resident or business, you will receive Washington Crossroads Magazine free of charge, six times per year. We have assembled an award-winning, dedicated team who will work hard to make you proud to say that Washington Crossroads Magazine is yours!

The name of this magazine is based not only on the many individual communities that will be covered – North Strabane, South Strabane, Canonsburg, Cecil, Southpointe, – but is also inspired by the bright future the area faces.

Enjoy and please let us know what you think!
