As you thumb through the pages of this section, you’ll notice how we’ve grouped articles, columns of knowledge and departments around a particular topic. This is intended to add depth to the subject and give you more to ponder about. For example, we include several pieces on different aspects of fitness, from joining a gym to deciding as a senior how to stay fit even when your aches and pains are telling you to give it up. In between, we look at the interesting issue of how children can often show more wisdom than their parents when it comes to health and fitness.
It’s getting to be that time of year again. And just to stay in the swing of things, we’ve packed in more ideas than you could list on how to organize the holidays for fun and not drudge, plus we’ve included a new column of knowledge on how to cope with holiday stress. And lest we forget, we offer some (relatively) painless insights to prepare you for what your kids will be demanding you put under the tree.
It’s all here. In one issue. Take your copy, climb into your favorite chair, grab a nice cup of something warm and enjoy a great read.
And, finally, we’d like to take this opportunity to personally thank Ben Roethlisberger for participating in the Team Youth Sports program.
Have a happy and safe holiday season! Go Steelers!
In every issue of Washington Crossroads we include a Special Section crammed full of information we believe will be of special interest to our readers. This issue’s Special Section is devoted to the subject of health and fitness. Since no one today can be indifferent to their own health, we have included an extended range of articles covering everything from diet issues to healthy eating and healthy living.
